I think that technology plays a hand in this oversaturation as it is soooo easy to enter almost any field (the art of djing suffers from this, also...anyone with 2 cd players and some speakers tries to all themself a dj
) if you have the money. When things come too easily and little effort is required, appreciation and "heart" tend to be low or non-existent, which leads to overall poor work eithics, quality and creavity.
