It's just a thought that triggered in my head from my other readings while going through your blog. It's just that when you look back at your own experiences and those of other folk, that's when your best successes and results pop up, when you combine your desire or passion WITH discipline and focus to see it through to fruition, ya know?

Like you mentioned, you can have desire for a lot of different types of shyt, some good, some not so good, some neutral, and some downright destructive. Having a strong desire is like a bomb of energy going off in every direction

Now take discipline...some people look at discipline kind of in a negative light, (I admit I'm one of them, but I'm trying at least ) because it's like maintaining your car, it takes staying up on shyt and being dedicated to making sure all the parts are working properly, without having anyone else bossing you around to do it. You have to be your own boss, and that sucks for a lot of people.

But if you take discipline as a metaphor being a properly maintained car or vehicle and combine it with desire as a metaphor for exploding fuel, now you have something compelling to fuel your discipline...AND now your desire has a mechanism to channel all that passionate energy for what you love into the direction you want to go in life...like you said, they complement and feed each other...like yin and yang. That's why I look at it as a cool little success formula because I like to take whatever positive thought, idea, or philosophy and turn it into usable knowledge or information. Because what's the point in learning something new if you can't use it? That's all I was getting at.

That's funny Summer cuz you seem more like a Dora the Explorer type to me. And everybody knows that she, SpongeBob, and Don Diego got a triangle fatal attraction thing going on behind the scenes you know!!
