A Question Of Race.. An Exercise In The Truth
Love your race.. and then come to love yourself..
I wonder if you might agree.. that an amazing thing happens.. when a person makes a conscious effort to learn about the many accomplishments and contributions, that the men and women of his race have made in life and to society. Have you had the good fortune of being that person, who sees the greatness of their heritage? If you were to take a deep breath, and focus on the energy of your body.. could you feel within yourself, the strength and incredible character that dwells inside, as a result of being descended from the great men and women of your race? Can you close your eyes, and see the faces of those men and women of your race who.. through the choices and actions they made during their lives.. claimed by force.. their place among the greatest men and women in all of history?
I’m not sure if you are perceptive enough, to look past the damage and degradation that certain environmental and societal pressures, may have caused to men and women who share your color. I don’t know if you’ve the compassion to forgive some of your brothers and sisters.. forgive but not make excuses for.. who are losing the battle to free themselves from the self-destructive programming they had no choice but to be exposed to, and immersed within. Perhaps you are among those few wise.. who do not accept rationalizations for any negative behavior.. but balance that out with the understanding, that not everyone has been blessed with the kind of paradigm shift necessary to free themselves from such mental slavery. And along with the knowledge such wisdom grants, you might be someone who chooses to lead by example.. a life that takes complete responsibility for your position right now, and your future to come.. despite all the odds that you may face as a result of your race, gender, religious beliefs or any other limiting factor that attempts to shackle your progress.
Do you know the feeling of pride? Can you imagine exactly what that feels like? Can you feel inside your body exactly where that feeling, pride, manifests itself within you? If you were to take that feeling of pride, and imagine it leaving your body so that you could hold it in your hands.. what form or symbol would it take? Would it be a ball of colored energy? Perhaps a Black Panther fist? Whatever you imagine, is perfect for you. Symbolize your pride and imagine it returning to your body, to rest where it naturally manifests. Now expand on that emotion and feel it grow. Allow it to continue to intensify and become more and more powerful. See it’s symbol inside of you and make it stronger and brighter. Let it grow in power and size till it encompasses your body completely, in such a way that you can feel within every fiber of your being, a love and intense pride in who you are and the race you belong. Bathe in that energy. Languish in the feeling of unstoppable power until that emotion, in all it’s glorious strength, can be retrieved at will whenever you want it.
Ask yourself.. Am I now, the kind of great individual, that loves unconditionally every man, woman and child of my race? Does this love, have wisdom and compassion supplementing it in such a way, as to help me show other men and women in my race, how to free themselves from self-destruction and hate? Am I the kind of man or woman who will help to lead people toward personal greatness, and away from the excuses and victimization that has claimed them? Understand.. that to love yourself for who you are.. and where you came from.. is to have an incredible personal power. Understand further, that to possess such power and help to give it to other men and women in your race, is to be among the greatest men and women in all of history.
Acknowledge the beauty.. and the power.. of every other race..
I wonder if you might agree.. that a man or woman, strong in love for themselves and their race, would come to naturally possess great skills of perception. That, these rare individuals.. would be able to easily see within other men and women, the same greatness and quality that they know themselves to possess. I wonder too.. if you might agree.. that if a group of these great individuals, covering a variety of different backgrounds, heritages, and races, were to come together in a meeting of leaders.. that despite any perceived differences, they would develop a natural and easy respect for each other. High quality character is an almost palpable thing, and I suspect that great men and women of all races, can sense such quality in other human beings. And if they were exposed to great brothers and sisters from every race, I wonder if you would agree.. that the beauty and strength of all races would be easy to mutually accept for all present. An understanding, that there are just as amazing human beings in every race, might go a long way in developing trust and cooperation between neighbors of differing skin color.
When it is known that, everything that makes you great, also makes other men and women of every race great.. then the only real difference is that they are promoting the betterment of their own kind, while you are doing the same for yours. I imagine, that it would then be simple, to see greatness in the leaders and heroes of other races. It would be simple and natural, to give respect where you have learned it to be due. Noticing then, that at the core of every race, culture, society and nationality.. there lies far more commonalities between people than there are differences, would seem to be no great leap in thinking. I wonder if you would say, that the true beauty of the world would then be open to a person with such understanding.
I’m great. You’re great. She’s great. He’s great. No matter the skin color or race.. greatness abounds. We are great.. and yet.. we are separate. Does this feel right to you? Does this feel like the natural state of being..? Forget what you are told or programmed to think.. does anything about racial separation spark resonations of quality emotion within you? If I were to suggest to you, that: “Mankind united is FAR superior, in every way, to any illusory divisions such as separation by race, culture, religion or even nationalism.” ..how would you feel compelled to respond? Would the responses and reactions of a man or woman of great quality, be different than those of the average or weak?
The deeper understanding.. that race.. is nothing more than an illusion..
I wonder if you might agree.. that we as humans, in order to protect some of our most cherished beliefs and our programmed model of the world, will commonly overlook the most pertinent information to a topic. Proponents of organized religions do this whenever science contradicts their all-knowing dogma. But you don’t have to be religious to fall victim.
Science has proven, that even the whitest white man from some KKK infested town in Arkansas, can have more genetically in common with the blackest black man from some ancient tribe in the plains of Africa, than he does with his own close cousins and uncles. And vice versa. Science has pinpointed the exact DNA sequence responsible for variation in human skin color. Would you believe me if I told you that it’s no more or less distinctual, than the size of your foot.. the rate at which your pubic hair grows.. or where the greatest concentration of pimples are gonna pop up on your ass during puberty? There is a lot more to it, but any scientist can tell you that race is a man-made illusion to create division where there is none.
Pride in who you are and your race may make you lay hard to the claim that you are perhaps African-American, Italian-American, etc.. or perhaps even something more widely diverse. But no matter who you are, you cannot claim that no matter how far back your classification decided to go.. that if you KEEP going back, we are not all descendents of the same group or groups of men and women. We are. Men and women who came from the land now known as Africa. Black men and women. Continue to go back even further and we’re all monkeys. Ha.. And if you want to think of yourself as a great man or woman.. lay down the false hope that evolution is a theory. It’s not.. except to that subset of Christian idiots in America, who want to teach their children to likewise be idiots, and hold tight to that creationism lunacy.
We do not separate ourselves into races of women with size 36DD breasts, and men who wear size 12 Jordans. There is no racial division classifying all people with a unibrow, and uniting them together against everyone without. Skin color as a divisive trait is likewise as absurd.
"Wait just a DAMN minute!! Science is not the law for everyone! Religion is just as valid, so shut the hell up about it!!" Yes.. I agree.. And one of the goals of all of the great religions.. is to help men and women of all variety, to see each other as brothers and sisters. I cannot think of one religious text.. that is has captured the minds and hearts of a great many men and women.. that does not view all people as being equal under God or what serves as the divine. So.. science and religion have been telling us the same thing. Are we listening?
Well then.. you might ask.. Is this intense self-worth and power I feel, as a result of my love for myself and my race all an illusion too? I would ask.. that you take a moment to consider.. a greater possibility. Is it possible.. for you to see yourself as something greater than you are? I don’t know if you are strong enough to accept the idea.. that a human race, is the only true race that there is.. And if in fact you can accept the truth.. can you incorporate that idea into the way in which you see yourself and interact with life? Can you look at the wrongs others cause you.. and the incredibly stupid things that members of other races do.. as a product of individual ignorance, instead of a racial stereotype? Are you wise enough to recognize, that if you were to take a baby of any race.. and raise that child up in the environment of another race, they would adopt and incorporate that other race’s culture in their being? Has there not been enough evidence of that all over our country for it to be easily accepted as truth?
This is not to suggest.. in any shape or form.. that current problems between men and women who see themselves as separate races are not very real. But.. would you agree with me if I were to suggest.. that those very issues would not be problems had mankind evolved psychologically to see ourselves as united..
Do you remember your symbol for pride? Can you still remember the feeling of it.. as you made it strong and powerful within yourself.. Is it possible, for you to create the emotions inside yourself.. like you did earlier.. that made you feel as if greatness was indeed your birthright? Of course it’s possible. The strength and greatness are still there inside of you. Your pride can evolve now.. to take on a much more expansive and great heritage. Every man and woman of any race that has given to the world is your brother and sister. The same blood flows through your body that flows.. or once flowed through theirs. As you imagine those emotions of fierce pride and self-confidence.. allow your imagination to expand, and amplify, those emotions.. After they fill your body.. feel them move on to encase your home, your city.. the whole world and beyond. Imagine all people as being your heritage, your responsibility, and your legacy. Let the experience settle into your mind and, when you have come to terms with your future role, allow the energy to go.. Anytime you need it back, it will be there for you.
Are you ready to be truly great?
