To the wanna be "do I have it?" models
Please, use a decent camera. Cell Phone pictures are ghetto.
You wanna get yourself out there. Save the money going to a studio, and buy a digital camera at least 6 Megapixels or higher with at least 3x Optical Zoom.
Your myspace and facebook cellphone pics won't work.
Soemthing to think about, that is, if you wanna stand out from the crowd.

hmmm, I hear what you're saying. Finding a model might not be that hard (depending on your area, there may be many models looking for more experience in front of the camera), it's that pesky problem of not having a camera that might be the bigger problem. Is there any way that you can perhaps take out a small loan or something to that effect to get your dream camera?

Would you let a doctor operate on you with a pearing knife because he says he can't afford real tools?

no you dont seem to understand... i live paycheck to paycheck... and now with the hospital bills and no insurance btw... i really CANT afford that camera... i have been tryin to save it up... i do plan on taking it as a profession and until i am able to afford it i... literally... am screwed...
im tryin to see if i can cut a deal with my mom to help me... dont think for a moment that i use "i cant afford" as an excuse... when i say i cant afford it... i mean it... half the time i can barely afford to EAT... so im pretty sure the money that i do get goes to the more important at the time (bills... transportation... etc.)

There are certain credit cards that you can get with bad/little/no credit. The interest rates are MUCH higher, but it could be an option. I usually suggest that people become a bartender or waitress for quick money, but that might not be feasible for you. I wish I could think of other ways for you to make some quick extra money, but I can't.
Hmmmm..perhaps some family and friends can pool their money together and get it for you. Just trying to think of some things that could help because I know what it's like when you go through a rough time.
What camera were you interested in?

A lot of people started where you are if not worse, that's part of the game and this will make the difference between being passionate or thinking it is a quick hustle. If you are passionate you will find a way through perseverance because your drive won't let you quit. I been there and many many that are successful. Lil Kim used to sleep in her car, Puffy was a small time party promoter where an event where haywire on him and people got killed, etc.
But it was their drive that put them where they are, no money, no house, no car all these are obstacles that you will overcome with the right will. Somebody once told me: Success is behind everything that is holding you back

Jess, I've been researching DSLR's myself.
You may want to look @ the Olympus E-Volt 510.
Roughly $50 more. More features & 2 lenses...

Hey Jesse, how is everything going with your career? Even though you do not have the camerea, your skills is present in your work! There has to be a way for you to get some small time gigs where you can make some extra money! You are a very talented artist, even though you do not have the 1st rate equipment!

Believe the unbelievable and surround yourself with those who can respect and supprt your beliefs. By doing this, you can truly attain the unattainable and reach the unreachable. Leave the haters at the door!!
