We have a little bit of everything just North of Toronto and we still don't allow access to the caliber of guns you can purchase in the states, but I get your point.

At the end of the day, my main problem is with handguns. They are easy to steal from law abiding gun owners (like Brawl) and "somehow" find their way into the poorest neighborhoods. You would have to break into at least 10,000 homes in Toronto before you would come across a working handgun. That’s why most of the guns involved in Toronto murders are traced back to the United States.

I own a Glock .40 and that is all I need for my protection because if one round doesn't stop you than I have 9 more. I do agree that there should be some type of control on who can have what type of guns. Assault rifles are needed for what???? They are called assault rifles for obvious reason for "Assault" and not Bear Hunting.

ADB I agree with you, I lived in Germany and guns are illegal, they had 792 Murders out of 82 Million Citizens in 2005. Philly alone had 380 Murders in 2005 in the city alone.

It is easy to get any type of gun in the U.S. it only takes a phone call. The reason why is because people steal them and sell them on the street. So gun owners by more and more guns are being stolen. Hot guns can't be tracked and 13 year old can easily buy them. I bought my first Uzi when I was 14 years old. At 15 I owned about 5 guns including an AK. At that time you didn't would want me to be an owner of those guns. When I needed money I just sold to someone else matter of fact I was making a lot more money selling a hot gun than a gun store proably would make because there is no waiting period and background check.

So I do agree that we need to control it because unfortunately the guns go in the hands of those that don't need it hence all of these college shootings, etc.

^^ I agree with a lot of what you say Brawl.. I think criminals who are incarcerated should face a lot more pain and punishment, than a prolonged stay at what they soon adapt their perceptions to see as nothing more.. than some vacation resort. The only thing that people seem to fear about prison is getting ass fvcked and the hell beat out of them from other inmates.. No fear whatsoever about having to go stand in the corner, or being given a timeout like some little kid. I say put them fools in cages and treat them like the criminals in places such as Japan are treated. They come out never wanting to even THINK about committing a crime again. If they come out alive.

On the other hand.. I fully believe that if criminals have a harder time getting weapons, either legally.. or jackin them from regular citizens who buy them legally.. then less crimes will be committed. I think you might very well be right that tighter gun control laws are not creating a perceivable drop in armed crimes.. However, do you think it might be possible that without those laws, the number of crimes might have actually risen a noticeable degree higher than they are now? I know that’s speculation and theory, but I think the question is profound.

But I’m still sympathetic.. I mean hell.. one of the attractions to joining the Corps was the possibility of hunting people who were actually capable of hunting you back. Ha.. Cause I find shooting animals for sport to be boring and unnecessary.

There is nothing wrong with guns but unfortunately like with everything one bad apple spoils the bunch. Most laws are created because of a few that created some major ish. Like Brian Nichols, he was one dude who did what he did but it changed a lot in the Atlanta Courts.

I do agree if the criminals are being punished a lot harder they would think twice. Hell why don't we start doing the lashes thing like they do in the middle east. I guarantee you it would make people think twice to do some crazy ish. I know I would think about 4x times because I am not with get beat with a bamboo stick by a martial arts expert.
