My buds that are soldiers have repeatedly said what you are saying . I have watched them numerous times flat out tell people " you honestly have no idea what you are talking about , you have never seen it outside of the US " .

^^ i know MANY muslims from many different countries... i never said that was the best religion only that there are numerous kinds within the religion...

furthermore EVERY religion has its faults... if you are going to have a bias on one you might as well have a bias towards them all because you are going to find a flaw no matter what...

bringing up the fact that it varies so much from country to country only further PROVES that CULTURE is a big part of it

there are pleanty of muslims who will tell you that there is a difference between a muslim and a terrorist who happens to be muslim... all that ends up doing is throwing fuel to the fire... yea you are gonna hear a LOT of SOLDIERS say you dont know what its like on the other side of the world... but there are also a lot (some of who i know personally) say that it is not as bad as reputation it is given... yes not all muslim follow a religion they get from the koran... but not all christians follow a religion they necessarily got from the BIBLE either... there is a zelot in a lot of different religions...

these aren't pockets of cultists. There are entire countries ruled and culturally acclimated to this way of life. Mostly they want to be left alone...But it doesn't change the brutality of life there. None of which you'd personally want to experience.

Btw, the word "terrorist" is a word invented by "us" to label any resistance to our interests as an enemy.

...And I don't think your art would get the appreciation over there that it gets here either. Any thing else I want to say you couldn't understand and would label as skewed. All any serviceman is experiencing over there is the climate of the region which has been at war constantly within itself for centuries.

Considering no1uvintrest was raised in a strict Muslim culture, and is engaged to a Muslim man from Egypt, and has dealt with several cultural issues dealing with her soon-to-be father in law, I wouldn't say she's completely ignorant either.

Wait a minute...I've got one, and if I fail, then Christianity might just be a disease: It's not that Christianity ever tried to control the state by censorship, holding and controlling alcohol, and telling people to vote the way the Church wants them to.
