Just folks that call themselves that.
I'm sure that anyone in any religion could say that, but that's kind of a cop out.

If because a Christian does a lot of the things that a Christian shouldn't that doesn't exclude them from the fold. Depending on the severeity, it makes that either a good Christian (because everyone makes mistakes anyway, right?) or a bad Christian.

The Muslims that did the things that Brawl was talking about were bad Muslims, but still Muslims. The Chrisitians that did all of those bad things I talked about were bad Christians, but still Christians.

I consider myself "of faiths" because if I ever wanted to be a part of a religion, all, perhaps save Hinduism, would consider me a "heretic" because of the fact I really can't say any one religion is correct simply because of my feelings of what religion attempts to do, which is about four or more threads in itself.

Let's not cop out and say they are not Christians. In a sense that very statement could be considered a wee bit arrogant in the fact that we are questioning another's faith or the validity of it.

It's kind of like Catholics saying Baptists aren't Christians, or Baptists saying Methodists aren't Christians, or Methodists saying Jehovah's Witnesses aren't Christians. 'Feel me?

Instead of trying to be say any religions are evil...well, except the religions that want to be evil like all-out Devil Worshipers (and I don't mean LeVayists), let's just agree that everyone has some bad in them and that every religion has someone in that spectrum of "good and evil."

Perhaps we should all just try to be the best uses we can be and not worry about other people's religion. In the end, that's the best way to demonstrate the goodness of our own religions.

its not a cop out jerk.

People claim to be whom they aren't all the time. Read the bible or Torah and find out what a real Christian is. There are very very few and Catholics aren't Christians.

You always did talk a lot with having exact knowledge.

I didn't say it was exactly a cop out. And I definetly did not say anything that merited that kind of response.

I've probably gone over the top before in this forum over some things, but even then I didn't ever really mean harm, and I always apologized when I felt I was wrong.

I've always found insight in your views, Mrmckoy, even when I didn't run exactly parallel with them. What you said is not going to change that.

I do have to say that I am a little disappointed in your response, and will chalk that up to the human condition.

You might not have noticed, but I have not been on the forums very much and have gone through a lot of soul-searching in my life. Part of that resulted in my not getting angry so much about things like this, but accepting the world as it is.

It seems that I would get so heated from conversations and debates becausse I felt I had the truth and I cared very much what people thought and wanted to "save their minds."

While I still think I know the truth, I realize that everyone else does, and while they might be wrong, so might I.

The solution?--Say your piece and listen to them say theirs. Take what you can from it and move on. Sometimes all we can do is agree to disagree without becoming disagreeable.

I'm not trying to preach. I just wanted to say that I think all religions have good points and people that follow them well, and badly.

So I'm sorry you feel I was a jerk, or you think I speak without knowledge. I don't profess to know everything, but everything I know, I truly feel.

Are you a Christian, Mrmckoy?
