The men are screwed over too. But they don't know it. They follow fatahs issued by religious figures over "rule of law". But these edicts (orders) don't come from the Koran. They are man made.
In fact Muslims should be able drink. Mohammed banned alcohol when his immediate clergy men embarrassed him by getting drunk. It later became another form of control. Music is bad in some forms of Islam too.
So seriously there are a lot of mis-truths. Its the only religion throughout history has rapidly spread through war or after war.
It is the only religion totally incompatible with other derivatives of itself which means they changed it a lot to suit themselves. In poor countries it spreads more rapidly than Christianity because Islam provides strict rule of law that those governments do not. In well developed countries Islam seems confused and unable to completely define or agree with itself.
Christianity and most other "religions" are based around God's concept of free will, forgiveness, and the ability to choose your own fate in the afterlife. Islam's promises of rewards in the afterlife are greater and totally illogical.
Why would God give a martyr 14 virgins in heaven if women are sinning for showing ankles on Earth? Btw, anyone know what the female matrys get? They don't get 14 male virgins...
