All wrong homey but passionately put.
Your registration is broken because of mixmatched versions of registration files, file system restrictions from your host, and becuase of template's issues. The "look" (template) you now use is a rework of the old one that had lots of css and HTML errors. So problems were ported. I can tell this by viewing the source. There are certain attributes there that were from older versions of vbulletin (your forum software). If you built your new look on the default template for the correct version of the software you are using...things would be much better.
Come on Ram. You also know that anoyone registering has to be confirmed twice by you before they can be active on the site. That was never a functionality of the forum software but its a bug you have. The oldest registration files were never overwritten becuaxse of improper permissions.
Admins here (RAM) bypass those issues when they confirm new members and change their attributes in the database. For them this is done through the control panel. The problem is they don't notice these potential new members until after they have tried to register twice! I think users would find that annoying.
It's not that people aren't interested. Mute people don't find it fun to talk.
Itfactor is failing from a lack of attention and caring. Politics aside it could be fixed in ten minutes.

Sorry to debunk your theory.
I haven't even touched on the software bought and installed improperly on the new box. You site map worked when I installed it. But it doesn't now after the move.
