Let us not be lulled into a sense of complacency, due to the recent political success of President Obama!

Racism still exists in this country. Like all things, nothing is perfect on this planet, in this world.

We have an obligation to be active on issues that simply cannot be ignored.

Along these lines we should all actively spread the word of how Barnes and Noble apparently feels about black people or at least our President.
Boycotting Barnes and Noble will show the economic effect of people who will not tolerate racism.

Barnes and Noble had this as their store front display in Coral Gables, FL , in the Miracle Mile Mall. I am totally disgusted and I think it is important that we all find a different place to buy our books. Obviously this is a place of extreme ignorance. How far have we really come?

I don't blame Barnes & Noble; I'm sure it was some idiot customer. B&N always has Barack Obama book displays in there spots and I'm sure some white kid though it would push our (Black folk) button. And you what I have to say about it........SO WHAT??

I can care less for the Post pic either. First, cuz I've never read the NY Post, and I'm not familiar with there style or if this is some reoccurenting thing or sumthing. Second, why are ya'll shocked???? Ya'll must not realise Bloody Sunday was only 40 yrs ago. Lychings are that far back in American history. I'm sure this brought some Americans together, but not all nor the majority.

I've got nothing against whites, but a lot of them are still stuck in Jim Crow.

Know your history...Slavery was only 144 years ago. My grandfather is in his late 70s.

That is BS , but I guarantee you it was done by some stupid a$$ customer .

B&N has that book display up at every store and I didnt see it at the one I go to . As a matter of fact I have seen an Obama book display at B&N since the election started . So before you get all crazy , find out a little about what happened .

You might make a huge stink and the manager would come out that is black and worked on Obamas campain or something .

Boycott? They better hope that's ALL that happens if they keep pushing their luck!! If the wrong group of negroes walk past^^that display case, them windows might get busted out and set on fire...and the cash register inside the store robbed for good measure!! How's that for being "active"?

I agree that, though disturbing, it wasn't something on part of the company. More or less, it was a jackass or a child.
