I was inspired to write a poem for a friend... she just really makes me think about things sometimes... so ...

And please ppl... post some of your own work... it could even be a rap you wrote...

What regrets do I have?
I've lived a life doing what I want
I've lived a life of few wants
My love is strong, makes me afraid at times
Truth is my nectar, honesty my drug
My body has curves galore
But it's my temple
What regrets do I have?
My past is my strength
And it strengthens my future
My present is now...
And so am I

I'll say this about Juanita's poems, I'm not a poetry type cat, so I don't know how "good" they are, but her rhyming syntax or whatever you call it, is pretty damn impressive.

over these feelings i have for u i question...

cant be too sure...
AGGRESSION...
is the name of this game...
sarcastically downplayin these feeling i thought u had for me...

WHY DIDNT I FOLLOW THAT VOICE INSIDE MY HEAD??
EVEN NOW I CAN REMEMBER WHAT SHE SAID:
"THAT MAN IS NO GOOD FOR U...
HE'LL NEVER BE TRUE...
ON HIM...
I CAN SEE THE ABUSE...
YET TO COME...
IF U GO...
PLEASE SAY IT AINT SO...
THAT THE GIRL I HAVE RAISED...
WILL BE DUMB AND INSTEAD...
GO AGAINST ME...
...HER FRIEND"
well its too late now...
and i know how i got here yet...
SOMEHOW
i cant find my way back...
my bread crumb trail...
long gone...
and so went my heart...
i no longer care...
i no longer try...
and now...
i no longer write...
