I wrote this b/c I was inspired by a story a dear friend of mine wrote. She wrote about these characters I began to care about and though the story was tragic, it had something in it that really hit home... something that really made me say "I know this"
The story was about love... love of family... love of friends... love of perfect strangers who are calling out for help and only you can help them. Its also about love and regret. We don't have forever and a day on this earth... so tell the person next to you, whether it be your friend, lover, brother or sister, your parents, cousins, children... "I LOVE YOU". That simple. That powerful. Don't lose another day or minute.
Love Lost
There was a time I loved you
When words couldn't do
But my heart feared something so,
It Feared the unknown with you
We started as friends and not lovers,
But it was Almost something more
But it all doesn't matter now
Now that the darkness closed the door
I feel empty now that you're gone
A hole in my chest so deep
You cared for me, loved me
You're a now a memory I'll forever keep
I locked your smile in my heart today
Placed your warmth in my hand
Kissed your gentleness with my dreams
And with you, in my heart, here we stand
It hurts so much to say these words
But say them I know I must
You gave me a love so true and pure
You gave me more than enough
I hope you know that I'm alright
I'm here letting God's light,
Shine thru me as I stand upright,
Good-bye

Black people have become somewhat racist within themselves to a certain degree; it pisses me off to hear from a black person "she's pretty to be a dark skinned girl". As if dark skinned girls aren't pretty. BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL IN EVERY WAY!!!!!! - tatiana23
