I saw this light under the darkness
I saw darkness consuming the light
I tried to speak, to scream, to yell...
but the darkness grew and I could not
I sat lonely, patiently and impatiently...
rocking back and forth in the shadow around me...
The days, the nights... they were all the same...
just darkness... only shadow...
and the few times light broke thru...
I could not move, nor speak, nothing...
There was no hope... only fear and loathing...
and the darkness grew... and grew...
no light could penetrate it's dark hand
And i could not see... for my eyes had grown accustomed nothing
Nothingness was all I knew... and it knew me far too well.
So i lay there... in the darkness... in shadow...
Never knowing true light...
no hope... no joy... no love
Will I ever escape this?
Will light ever come and rescue me?
I can't hope...
I can't dream...
I can only lie there...
sit there...
rock back and forth there...
and one day...
die there
