Take Some Private Time To Yourself
So Im on a mission that I started this week and Im very proud of myself. No clubs (unless money is involved) and no extra curricular activities until I reach my goals.
My goal is to be as fit as possible mind, body, and most importantly my soul. A lot of times we underestimate our power as men and women whether your african american or not. We all have SO much potential to go beyond our set goals and really reach farther than we have ever imagined. Sometimes we misplace ourselves and indulge too heavily in relationships, family and even friends. I know I know....you can never spend too much time with family and you always put your relationships sometimes just as important. But where do you think all of this starts? It starts with YOU. You are the half of the reason for a relationship, friendship or family affairs. So why not keep your half as sane and organized as possible.
Everyone deserves and needs those moments to themselves to really figure out or make sure that you stay on your positive individual path of life and learning. I know from personal experience that you can loose yourself quite easily in someone elses life whether it be positive or negative moves.
But if you continue to live their lives as well as yours one day you will come to the realization that you deserve more or that you have waisted time trying to better someone's life thinking yours is just fine or stable. You can never learn a lesson for another person or make them feel what you feel or believe that certain things in life are more important than others without them going through their own life changing experiences.
So from day to day remember that even if your financially stable, physically heathy, and mentally satisfied you can always learn more about yourself and your strengths when you have no one in your ear, crib or vicinity to help you sway or compromise your beliefs and decisions.
Im taking a 2 month vacation with myself so that I can always remember that it STARTS, ENDS and CONTINUES with GOD and myself before anyone or anything else.
