Re: My Hero Ain’t Molest Them ***** Ass Kids, by Little Brother's Phonte
I know I am late and this topic probably has died already but I want to state something for what it's worth...
HIStory will ultimately decide how Michael Jackson is best remembered. Which is, without a doubt, iconic and legendary. That is something that cannot be disputed, no matter what was going on in his personal life. That aside, most people are quick to call him a pedophile without hard evidence of such because they think he is an easy target. Why is that? Because he had a childlike heart and loved the kids, also he was very trusting. That right there can get you in situations that are hard to escape. If we are talking about facts. That is one. Here are more:
The child in the 1993 case had a manipulative father who could only see dollar signs. Yes, this case never went to trial because Michael was advised by his closest friends to settle out of court instead of wasting time and further damage to his image by dragging it out in court. No parent I know would take money over seeing justice being done so that the accused would not be free to hurt another child. Also, people love to say, "Would YOU leave your kid with Michael Jackson?" My answer: "No, and I wouldn't leave my kid with YOU either." It is a parent's job to protect their kids. So to ask would I leave my kid with a famous man I didn't know well is bull. I wouldn't leave my kid with some random person off the street so what is your point exactly?
LaToya Jackson did state that that she thought Michael was guilty and later recanted the statement saying that her husband at the time, Jack Gordon forced and manipulated her into going public with the damaging statement. It was also well known that Jack beat her into submission and kept her away from her family and that she was afraid of him. It is also well known in Jackson family/fan circles that Jack Gordon hated the Jackson family. Anyway, Michael had since forgiven LaToya after it was all over.
I do not know how many of you followed the 2005 trial or read the transcripts from it but the Arvizo family had (at the time) a history of fraud, extortion schemes, and the mother made farfetched claims while on the stand that even had the jury laughing inside the courtroom. Prior to the trial, Michael had turned himself into the cops because this time he wanted to prove his innocence and fight it all the way through, instead of of paying for it to go away. And he won. He was found not guilty on ALL 10 counts. He won because the prosecution basically proved his innocence for him with that spectacle of a trial. Basically was a waste of taxpayer money.
And here is the last fact for you, the media, the sensationalized news coverage, the allegations, and the public slaughter of his image, his character basically destroyed that man's life. And we see how it ended.
With all that said, there is a lesson or two to be learned from his life. But you people won't get it. I won't even bother to tell you.
RIP Michael.
